Alex Jasset - Coach
Alex, a U.S. Marine, has been CrossFitting since 2011. His older brother Steve, and affiliate owner in North Carolina, introduced him to the sport and instantly he was hooked. Alex has always had a passion for sports; playing high school football and taking various courses in martial arts in the USMC. After his first year of CrossFit, Alex decided to pursue coaching.
Fave Pandora station: While crushing his WODs, he enjoys listening to the Big Tymers Pandora station to get him pumped.
Fave WOD(s): His favorite workouts are two of the Hero WODs, D.T. and Murph, both commemorated to honor fallen military men and women.
Fave thing about CF: Alex enjoys helping others and seeing them do things they never thought possible. He enjoys guiding people through their own CrossFit journeys. Alex takes particular interest in Olympic weightlifting. His favorite lifts are the clean and jerk and snatch.
The structure, camaraderie and sense of family in CrossFit reminds Alex of his time spent in the military. It gives him motivation to keep pushing and challenge himself, as well as keeps him grounded; all at the same time. The community spirit of CrossFit is to Alex, unlike anything he’s ever experienced in fitness before.
Outside of the box: Alex is a father of two daughters and one son, and is married to Christine, also a CFT member since 2012. It took Alex a while to convince his wife to try CrossFit, but once he did, she never looked back. He looks forward to inspiring others in the same way.
