Education: Studying Business Management and Marketing at Suffolk University in Boston
Background: I have been an active member of CrossFit Torque for several years and counting! Before that I had been an active football player until a concussion sidelined me in 2012. From there I was looking for something to fill the void in my life and that’s when I met Amanda and she had me come in for a free workout. That day I signed up for an unlimited membership and I haven’t looked back since.
Fave WOD: My favorite workout would have to be “Nasty Girls” because it is one of CrossFit’s most iconic workouts; probably right behind the dreaded “Fran.” This workout is three rounds for time of 50 Air Squats, 7 Muscle Ups, 10 Hang Power Cleans (135lbs). I really enjoy the story of how it went viral back in 07′
Fave movement: The MuscleUp, whether on the rings or on the pull-up rig; because it is by far the coolest and most challenging to learn.
Fave Pandora Station: Rise Against because there’s nothing like a fast beat to keep you moving.
Fave moments at #TorqueNation: One of my favorite moments at the gym is when I realized the coaches and members really care about each other. Nothing made that more clear than when Amanda hadn’t seen me in a day or two and I got an email asking if I was okay and to get my butt back to the gym! This place isn’t your average gym where you workout and go home, here you build lifelong friendships and relationships.
