One of our promises at #TorqueNation is to welcome you and your family into an open community that will inspire and motivate you to come back for more. When we talk about Community, we immediately think about our gym and the people we work out with. But with CrossFit, the community spirit runs over the edges of the gym walls and through other cities, other states, even other nations. We are firm believers that by helping each other in this world, we can make a difference.
I was honored to become an ambassador for Barbells for Boobs. Barbells for Boobs has become an annual tradition that is engrained in all of us. We come together as a box, and with other neighboring boxes near and far to raise awareness and money for people in our community who are much less fortunate than ourselves.
#TorqueNation is also a very proud supporter of Kettlebells4Kids, a local charitable foundation set up by none other than Amie Owens, a long standing member and friend of CrossFit Torque. We were both delighted and honored to be the highest fundraising CrossFit Gym in their very first year, 2014. 2015 has already seen K4K successfully exhibiting at the CrossFit East Coast Regionals, and we are pleased to hear that boxes in 10 states have already signed up for the 2015 Fundraising WODs to be held in August of this year. We will do whatever we can here in #TorqueNation to help spread the good word of these foundations and those like them, because without community spirit, we have nothing.
