My wife, Samantha, and I have 3 children.  Sydney- 12, Ben- 10 and Emma- 6.  They keep us on the go between their sporting events, music, etc., but we love every minute of it!  I have been a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments for 17 years where I work with individuals and families to build wealth protect it and pass it on.  I feel fortunate to have a career where I am having a meaningful impact on so many lives.
There are many activities that I enjoy.  Basketball is a favorite (both playing weekly and coaching my 7th grade daughter), skiing, and obstacle course racing.  I like getting into yard work too-  it’s refreshing and a bit therapeutic after a week in the office.
Aspirations- Working each day to be the best husband and father that I can be.  To raise 3 kids that are caring, empathetic and also understand the importance of hard work.

What was it about CrossFit Torque that made you want to join?

I had a knee injury a few years ago playing basketball and it made me realize that if I want to continue doing things I love that I can’t just be a weekend warrior.  I need to take care of myself during the week.  I was out of commission for about 5 months and I needed something to push me.  I had heard of CrossFit and driven by the gym many times-called Amanda and felt welcomed from day 1.

What has kept you coming back to Torque, day after day??

First and Foremost is my commitment to improving myself.  There is so much in life beyond our control, but I want to do all that I can to be healthy, active and strong for myself and my family.
The coaches and the members!  Every coach knows their stuff.  My technique and success in the gym would not be possible without the continued support from every coach.  As for the members- I have made many friends and love the energy they bring to the class.  They also push me and make me better.

What is your favorite thing about working out at Torque?

The variety-I love coming in to class and knowing that every workout will be varied and different.  This keeps if fresh and exciting.

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

There have been many, but I would have to say during the open last year doing my first bar muscle up.  The excitement and adrenaline of the open propelled me!

What has been your biggest challenge?

I would like to do a regular muscle up.  I’ll get there.

What is your favorite CF movement to do?

I would say Thrusters…..and pull ups!  Took me a long time to string together the pull ups, but I love them now.

What piece of advice would you give to someone who is looking to start CrossFit but hasn’t yet?

There is a place here for anyone and everyone!  Do not be intimidated.  You will be amazed at what you can do.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery interval=”5″ images=”22906,22907,22908″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
