🗓 What to Expect at Our Women’s Strength Class: A Week-by-Week Breakdown

One of the most common questions we hear from women considering our Women’s Strength Class is:

“What exactly do we do each week?”

Totally fair question — especially if strength training is new to you, or if you’ve had experiences in the past where you were thrown into workouts without support or direction.

At CrossFit Torque, we do things differently.

Our 6-week Saturday Women’s Only Strength Class is built to help you feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of your body — without overwhelm or confusion.

Here’s a week-by-week breakdown of what to expect:


✅ Week 1: Getting Comfortable & Building a Foundation

  • Intro to the major movement patterns (squats, presses, hinge/deadlifts)
  • Focus on proper form, breathing, and bracing
  • Learn how to select the right weight and understand effort levels
  • Leave feeling successful, not sore

✅ Week 2: Building Strength & Confidence

  • Add light intensity to the movements introduced in Week 1
  • Understand how to track progress and what to pay attention to (spoiler: it’s not just the scale)
  • Reinforce technique with added reps or weight, depending on your level

✅ Week 3: Understanding Recovery & Hormone Support

  • Deeper focus on how lifting supports metabolism, hormones, and recovery
  • Start seeing improvements in how your body feels (and sleeps!)
  • Begin to adjust training intensity based on how your body responds — not just how hard you can push

✅ Week 4: Introducing Variety & Progressions

  • New variations of core lifts (tempo work, pause reps, dumbbell work, etc.)
  • Increased confidence in how you move and what your body can do
  • Learn how to modify based on where you are that day — because flexibility matters

✅ Week 5: Putting It All Together

  • Start pairing movements for efficiency and flow
  • Apply everything you’ve learned to move with more control and strength
  • Keep layering on challenge — without sacrificing technique or safety

✅ Week 6: Celebrate Strength!

  • Final week: personal progress tracking
  • Coach-supported review of your biggest wins (more than just numbers!)
  • Learn how to continue your journey beyond the class
  • Optional interest form to move into semi-private training, if desired
