Finding a gym isn’t usually the hard part. Finding one you actually look forward to walking into every week? That’s a different story.
Most of us have tried the big-box gyms. We’ve signed up with the best intentions, wandered around wondering what to do, and eventually let the membership collect dust. Sometimes it isn’t because we don’t want to get healthier. It’s because we never really felt like we belonged.
That’s why Steph’s review stood out to us. She starts with a sentence that perfectly captures what we’re trying to build every day at Torque:
“If you’re looking for a gym that truly feels like home, Torque is it.”
For us, that’s about so much more than having a place to work out.
Walking into a new gym can feel intimidating. You wonder if everyone will be fitter than you. If you’ll know what you’re doing. If you’ll be the only beginner in the room.
Steph noticed something different as soon as she walked through our doors.
“There are people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels, and everyone is supported right where they are.”
That’s exactly how we want it to be.
Whether you’re preparing for your first 5K, learning how to squat, getting stronger after having kids, or simply trying to feel healthier, your starting point doesn’t matter. Our job as coaches is to meet you there.
One thing we hear often from new members is, “I’m worried I won’t be able to keep up.” The truth is, you don’t have to. Every workout can be adjusted to fit your current abilities, and our coaches are there every step of the way.
Steph describes it better than we could:
“The coaches are outstanding — knowledgeable, encouraging, and incredibly motivating. They know exactly how to push you just hard enough to help you grow, without ever making you feel overwhelmed.”
That balance is something we work hard to create. Growth happens when you’re challenged, but it also happens when you feel supported.
Whether you’re celebrating your first push-up, your first pull-up, or a new personal record, we believe every win deserves to be recognized.

As Steph put it:
“They celebrate every improvement and every win, big or small, and they’re right there to help you navigate setbacks with positivity and perspective.”
Because fitness isn’t always a straight line. There will be great days, hard days, and everything in between. Having coaches and a community who help you through all of it makes a huge difference.
Workouts are important, but they aren’t what people talk about years later. They talk about the friendships they built. The coaches that supported them every step of the way. The people who noticed when they missed class. The high-fives after a tough workout. The laughs before class starts.
Steph said it best:
“What truly sets this place apart is the sense of family. It’s evident the second you step through the door.”
That’s not something you can manufacture. It’s something that’s built over hundreds of shared workouts, encouraging words, and people genuinely wanting to see one another succeed.

One sentence in Steph’s review made us smile.
“I’ve never stuck with a gym this long, and I have absolutely no intention of leaving anytime soon.”
To us, that says everything. Our goal has never been to help someone work out for a few weeks. We want to help people build habits they can maintain for years. Because lasting fitness isn’t about finding the perfect program. It’s about finding a place where you feel supported enough to keep showing up.
If you’ve been looking for a gym where you’ll be coached, encouraged, challenged, and welcomed from day one, we’d love to meet you.
Who knows? You might just find a place that feels like home.
