Coach Vanessa didn’t walk into CrossFit Torque for the first time as a coach.
She walked in as a member — back in 2013 — looking for a place to train, move, and challenge herself like so many others who come through our doors.
What she found turned into something much bigger.
Over time, training turned into consistency.
Consistency turned into confidence.
And a few years later, Vanessa stepped into a coaching role — one that now includes coaching our ForeverFit program.
Ask her today if she could imagine doing anything else, and the answer is simple:
She couldn’t be happier.
When Vanessa talks about Torque, she rarely starts with workouts, programming, or results.
She starts with people.
“One of my favorite things about Torque is that everyone has their stuff outside the gym — but when you walk in, everyone is just so happy to be there together.”
Life doesn’t stop when you enter the gym.
People walk in carrying stress, grief, pressure, exhaustion — all the things that don’t show up on a whiteboard.
But for one hour, Torque becomes something different.
A place where you don’t have to explain yourself.
A place where you’re allowed to just be.
“On the shittiest day, you could walk in crying and leave feeling stronger and supported.”
One of the things Vanessa notices most is how many people around her are quietly navigating real struggles.
Work stress.
Family challenges.
Health scares.
Life transitions.
And yet, inside the gym, those same people show up for each other.
“I think about all the people I love there, and I know some of them have real struggles in their personal lives — and you’d never know it, because they’ve found a place they can just exist for an hour.”
There’s no pretending here.
No pressure to have it all together.
No expectation to show up any way other than exactly how you are.
Vanessa is honest about that — especially her own experience.
“I’ve rolled up to the gym crying at least ten times in the last two years.”
And she wasn’t turned away.
She wasn’t asked to explain.
She wasn’t told to come back when she felt better.
She trained.
She moved.
She breathed.
She left feeling steadier than when she arrived.
“It’s cool to have a safe place you know you can go — even when you feel down.”
As a ForeverFit coach, Vanessa brings this understanding into every class she leads.
She knows that people aren’t just showing up to lift weights.
They’re showing up for:
ForeverFit isn’t about keeping up.
It’s about staying capable, connected, and supported through every season of life.
Vanessa coaches with that in mind — because she lives it too.
Vanessa’s story is a reminder that what we build at Torque goes far beyond workouts.
It’s a space where:
It’s a place people return to — year after year — not because life is easy, but because life is hard.
And having somewhere safe to show up makes all the difference.
