We love sharing stories like this one.

Deb has been part of the Torque family for years — first back in 2015 in our group classes, then transitioned in 2019 to our ForeverFit program, where she trained alongside her Dad for three years and built a foundation of movement, consistency, and community. Her daughter, a 14-year veteran member and former Torque coach, has long been a testament to what this place can mean across generations. And through it all, Deb herself has remained one of the most genuinely warm, hard-working people we’ve ever had the privilege of coaching.

Life asked a lot of Deb recently. She stepped back from training to rehab her knees and care for her aging parents — the kind of season that takes real strength of character, even when you’re not in the gym. She never stopped working hard. As a bartender, she’s on her feet, moving, giving energy to everyone around her, every single shift.

But now she’s back — and she came back strong.

Deb recently joined our Women’s Strength program (this past February), and the results have already been remarkable. Here’s how she described a recent morning, in her own words:

“I brought three tables, five chairs, two large metal buckets, two cast iron umbrella stands, three tanks of propane, two umbrellas and several plants down to the yard… Long story, but I would NEVER have been able to do that and then go to work just two months ago!! I was pretty happy about it!!”

That’s not just a physical win — that’s independence. That’s confidence. That’s the freedom to say yes to your day without wondering if your body will let you.

At Torque, that’s exactly what we’re here for. Whether you’re in ForeverFit — our program designed to keep you strong, mobile, and capable for life — or in Women’s Strength, where we build real, functional power in a supportive, women-only environment — we meet you where you are and help you do more.

Deb is in her 70s. She moves furniture before work. She’s proof that it’s never too late, never too far from where you were, and never impossible to come back.

If Deb’s story resonates with you — or with someone you know — we’d love to welcome you in. Reply to this email or stop by to learn more about ForeverFit and Women’s Strength.

Thank you, Deb, for reminding us why we do this. We couldn’t be prouder to have you back.
