Breaking Down Your Day

When people come to CrossFit Torque they think they are just going to workout…but there is so much more to the bigger picture. In order to get results and reach your goals (quickly), there are other factors in play.

Why? Well let’s break it down.

1 hour of Fitness is just 4% of your day. The other 23 hours is filled with sleep, eating, socialization, and to be quite honest – your mindset.

So, let’s say you total the actual minutes you spend on prepping your food and then eating it. Maybe you spend 60-90 minutes a day doing this for 3-5 meals a day. Let’s round up to 120 minutes – now we are talking 8% of our day.

8 hours sleeping is 33% of our day. Close to 4% spent on personal hygiene (showering, bathroom, morning and bedtime routine).

And the other 51% is spent working, socializing, or commuting.

Today, I want to talk to you about Nutrition – and this category has a lot to unpack, but we will start slowly. Here are a few things we can talk about:

  • Do you drink enough water?
  • Do you regularly consume fruits and vegetables?
  • Do you know how much protein you should consume in a day?
  • How many times per day do you eat?
  • Do you know how many calories you should be consuming per day?
  • What is a typical day’s nutrition look like for you?
