The holidays come with a whirlwind of activities, and it’s easy to let workouts fall by the wayside. But choosing consistency, even in small doses, can keep you from having to play catch-up in January. This season, remember that staying active not only benefits your physical health but also helps you stay energized, manage stress, and maintain the momentum you’ve worked so hard to build. Check out yesterday’s part 1 post:

Why Consistency Matters More Than Perfection
For many, the holiday season means increased stress levels, less sleep, and more to-dos. Focusing on maintaining a consistent workout routine, even if it’s modified, helps you keep your body strong and resilient. When you show up regularly, your body retains much of the strength and endurance you’ve built, so come January, you won’t feel like you’re starting over from scratch.
Consider attending CrossFit Torque 2-3 times a week to maintain your progress. Studies show that even minimal, regular exercise can support mental health, boost mood, and provide stress relief – benefits that can make all the difference during a busy season.
Tip: If making it to the gym isn’t always feasible, try bodyweight workouts at home or mobility sessions that keep you active and reduce stress.
Accountability Is Your Secret Weapon
Holidays are full of temptations – indulgent meals, social gatherings, and endless errands – making it easy to lose sight of health goals. But accountability can help you stay on track, even if you’re balancing a demanding schedule. Consider joining our Torque weekly group nutrition accountability calls, where you’ll work with a coach to set mini-goals around protein, veggies, sleep, and more. These calls keep you engaged, offer support, and make it easier to stick to healthy habits that support your fitness goals.
Reframe Workouts as Self-Care
Instead of seeing workouts as “one more thing” on your holiday to-do list, try to reframe them as a form of self-care. A workout can be an hour to unwind, to focus on yourself, and to get away from holiday stress. By keeping this perspective, you may find it easier to prioritize fitness and take the time to care for yourself.

Don’t stress. Carve out 15 minutes: 3 min for dynamic stretching. 10 min for an AMRAP of 10 Squats, 10 Countertop-Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups / Deadbugs. Last 2 min for dynamic stretching.
