Getting Back to It — and Finding It Again, Anne Marie’s Story

Before joining CrossFit Torque, she already knew CrossFit.

She had trained for years — first in Providence, then in Braintree. She understood the movements, the structure, the intensity.

But like many people, life shifted.

COVID changed routines.
Workouts moved to home.
Motivation slowly faded.

By last August, workouts had stopped completely.

And for a busy, working, single mom with a 3-year-old, that’s not surprising.

Working in the city Monday through Thursday.
Balancing schedules.
Managing life mostly on her own.

Fitness wasn’t the priority anymore — even though she knew how much it mattered.

What She Was Missing

It wasn’t knowledge.

It wasn’t experience.

It was accountability.

Structure.
Coaching.
A reason to show up — even on the days she didn’t feel like it.

So she made the decision to come back.

Not to start from scratch.

But to reconnect with something she already knew could work.

Back in the Right Environment

Now training twice a week in a hybrid membership, she’s found what was missing.

“The coaches at CrossFit Torque are super helpful and they are invested in making me better, which gives me more motivation to keep perfecting my skills.”

That investment matters.

Because when someone believes in your progress, it becomes easier to believe in it yourself.

And one of the biggest things she’s realized?

CrossFit is more accessible than people think.

“Many people think it is not for them, but after joining Torque, I think anyone could do the workouts.”

Every workout is adaptable.
Every movement can be scaled.
Every person starts at their own level.

Small Changes That Add Up

It’s only been a few months — but the changes are already showing up.

She feels stronger.

She’s more aware of how she’s fueling her body.

“I have become more in tune with what I am eating… I am trying to incorporate more protein and overall healthy eating on a daily basis.”

Nothing extreme.

Just better choices, built through consistency.

Why This Time Is Different

She didn’t come back chasing perfection.

She came back looking for structure.

For accountability.

For a place that helps her show up — even when life is busy.

Because as a working mom, she doesn’t need another complicated plan.

She needs something that works with her life.

And now?

She’s back to doing what she already knew she was capable of.

Showing up.

Getting stronger.

And building momentum again.
