In February 2020, Bethany’s gym closed.
If you were in any kind of fitness routine at the time, you remember what that felt like. The loss wasn’t just a membership — it was a schedule, a habit, a community. Bethany had been a runner, had built her fitness life around small group training, and suddenly that structure was gone.
She kept moving. She found another gym. But any athlete knows the difference between a place you go and a place you belong.
Two years later, something clicked. Bethany found CrossFit Torque through our Couch to 5K program in 2022. She came in with clear goals — build real body strength, increase muscle mass, and find a community that matched her drive. As a single mom juggling everything life throws at you, she needed more than a workout. She needed a place that understood what it meant to show up when you’re already stretched thin.
Four years in, she’s still here. And she’s left two Google reviews that say everything:
“I am so happy I found CrossFit Torque. It is more than a gym — it is a community. I’ve made great friends while reaching my fitness goals. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and make the classes fit for all athletic levels.”
And then this:
“I keep coming back for the people. People who are just like me, trying to balance life and reach their goals.”
That line — people just like me — is something we’ve spent 15 years building toward. Not a gym full of elite athletes performing for each other. A room full of real people, at every level, who show up because they want to be better and they want to do it together.
Bethany found her strength at Torque. She also found her people.
If that’s what you’ve been looking for, we’d love to meet you.
