We offer several options to help beginners ease into CrossFit Torque, including:

  • No-Sweat Intros: One-on-one meetings with a coach to discuss your goals, answer questions, and tour the facility.
  • On-Ramp Program: Dedicated sessions that teach the basics in a smaller, more personalized setting.
  • Member Check-ins: once part of Torque, your membership will encourage you to sit with a Coach every 2-3 months to check in: how are things going? are you making progress towards your specific goal? what else do you need from us?
  • Personal Training: For those who prefer a more customized approach, personal training sessions allow you to learn at your own pace. We have a semi-private option as well: share the Coaches time and space with one or two others.

Tips for Beginners Starting CrossFit Torque

  1. Focus on Consistency: Start with 3 classes per week to allow your body time to adapt and recover. Schedule your classes and block your calendars so nothing gets in the way.
  2. Listen to Your Body: It’s okay to modify workouts or take breaks as needed. Progress takes time, and as we say “Motion is the best Lotion” – so when you’re sore, come in and we will help you out.
  3. Ask Questions: Our coaches are here to help! Don’t hesitate to ask for clarification or assistance. Show up 10 minutes before class to check-in with the Coach and set yourself up for success. Utilize SugarWOD ‘prepare’ videos for those movements that are in class that day. Message your fellow members via our member’s groups.
  4. Celebrate Small Wins: Every improvement, no matter how small, is worth celebrating. Share your Bright Spot or WIN on Friday’s in classes or via email. Give yourself credit when you show up. There’s no such thing as a bad workout. Progress is progress!
