“Suzanne has been working with me 1on1 for over a year. Suzanne walked through our doors looking for a way to take back control of her life, her health, and her body. In that time, Suzanne has dropped more than 60 pounds, and successfully dropped her A1C levels from 7.3(pre-diabetic) to 5.7(no sign of diabetes). She took a trip of a lifetime to Italy for 4 weeks, and, through her hard work at the gym, was able to walk EVERYWHERE, and she was also able to climb EVERY STEP of every set of stairs that she was met with. She completed her first walk/run 5K in 2021, and plans on repeating this upcoming year. She has found a home with us at CrossFit Torque, and, even though she may say otherwise during the grind of our sessions, she loves the workouts too! My big passion and love are gargoyles and my husband, Bruce, and I have them all throughout our yard. We have our main man ‘Stan’, he is over 5 ft!. Most people are really surprised by this and never suspect this about me. I have been married for over 18 years. I met Bruce on Yahoo personals when it first launched. We met and engaged 5 months later and got married a year after that. We have a beautiful daughter who is 15. I love spending my time with my family and my 4 fur babies. Love to travel!

I joined CrossFit because I needed to make a change in my life. I hit rock bottom with my health after being in the hospital for 6 days and being diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, and at my highest weight. I knew that if I were to fall, I would not get off the ground. I need to change my life fast, I said to myself. I saw CrossFit Torque online and I loved what I saw and read. I honestly did not know if I would be able to do it but thought I would give it a shot and go for the No Sweat Intro. When I met Chris it was like I found a long lost friend. The comfort for me was instant!! I felt safe and with no judgment; I just trusted her right away. This was my first step towards my personal training with Coach Sara.

I’m most proud of coming back session after session, week after week – Thank you Sara! The way she pushes me and makes me a better person. I have grown over the last year mentally and physically. I have lost weight but more importantly, I have learned so much about how to be happy and healthy.

My proudest moments thus far are the strength that I have built so that if I were to stumble, I know with confidence that I would be able to get up on my own safely and avoid the panic attacks.

Secondly, I walked my first ever 2 miles in the Couch to 5K program last spring and also walked 2 miles+ in the Road Race hosted by Torque in August. . It was amazing!!

My favorite movement is bench press! And, I would love to fly, if I was fortunate enough to possess a superpower.

My advice to one that may be debating whether to try Torque or not – Try it!! You will never regret it or find the perfect time – You have to just make the time!!! You are worth it!!

Life changing experience for me – it could be for you as well.
